Furion DOTA tips
69These tips are for playing the night elf Prophet character:
- Your treants are excellent for pushing. They don't feed as much as many of the other kinds of creeps. However, the Furion treants don't do much damage either. They're very weak and easy to kill. You can use them to harrass someone early in a DOTA game who doesn't try to last hit or tower hug. The damage they do to ancient towers slowly adds up.
- Teleportation always shows it's effect to the enemy if they're watching that area. Be careful! You might just teleport into a trap if you place it badly. Enemies will also be able to run away if they see the purple mist. This is triggered at the same time as you cast it, once the delay starts.
- Always watch the enemy heroes travelling around the map. Furion can often use his teleport skill to catch someone fleeing by surprise. He can also assist in any group battles that might happen, or help save someone by using sprout. A well-played prophet in DOTA is extremely hard to play against for the other team.
- Buy items that maximize your DPS potential if you're playing against a lot of melee heroes. You can sprout them in place. This tip for Furion is only good for one versus one fights. You shouldn't attempt to fight more than one hero at a time unless you've got backup or know what you're doing.
- The prophet's wrath of nature works best if you don't target a DOTA enemy hero. This skill does the most damage to the last target it bounces to. The furion ultimate can also help destroy any heroes that might be running away at a time. It's a great way to get an assist for any group battle that might be going on at a time.
